DFNS now supports Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol on Stellar. Institutions on DFNS can move native USDC between Stellar and any other CCTP-supported network, Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Arc, and more, in one governed transaction, with the USDC that arrives being the same canonical, Circle-issued asset on both sides. No wrapped variant, no third-party bridge, no custodian in the middle.

## Why Stellar

Stellar is where stablecoin payments meet cash. USDC has been natively issued on Stellar for years, and the network hosts the largest cash-to-stablecoin off-ramp in the world, with more than 475,000 MoneyGram locations able to turn USDC into local currency and back. It is the rail payment companies choose for remittances and cross-border payouts, which is why DFNS added Stellar as a Tier-1 network in June, and why the companies building on it are among the most active on our platform.

Until May, USDC on Stellar lived in its own pool. Moving it to or from another chain meant a third-party bridge, a Circle Mint redemption and reissuance, or an anchor swap, each adding a counterparty, a delay, or a wrapped asset. CCTP on Stellar, live on mainnet since May, replaces all three with Circle's burn-and-mint: USDC is burned on the source chain, attested by Circle, and minted natively on the destination. Stellar's liquidity joins the USDC that circulates on more than twenty other networks, and theirs joins Stellar's.

## What it enables

The flows that used to require two platforms now run in one. A payments company collects USDC on Ethereum or Base, moves it to Stellar through CCTP, and pays out through Stellar's cash network, under a single policy and audit trail. A treasury holding USDC on Stellar deploys it on Solana or Ethereum when a counterparty or venue requires it, and brings it home for payouts. A fintech serving customers across corridors keeps one USDC balance sheet across chains, settling wherever the corridor is cheapest, without pre-positioning liquidity on every network it touches.

## How it works on DFNS

CCTP on Stellar runs through the same integration DFNS shipped for every other CCTP network. In the dashboard, select the Circle CCTP provider in Swaps, choose a source wallet and a destination wallet on different chains, review the quote, and sign with a passkey. Through the API, it is one call. Stellar handles finality quickly enough that Circle's Fast Transfer is unnecessary on this route; standard transfers settle in the time it takes the source chain to finalize. And because Stellar encodes addresses and USDC precision differently from every other CCTP chain, DFNS handles the destination-side forwarding so that funds arrive at the right Stellar account, correctly denominated, without the integrating team writing a line of chain-specific code.

Every transfer passes the Policy Engine before anything signs: approval quorums, limits, allowlists, and screening apply to a cross-chain move exactly as they apply to any other transaction, and the burn, attestation, and mint are tracked in one record. Pair it with Circle Mint, also integrated on DFNS, and the loop closes: fiat in through Mint, USDC across chains through CCTP, cash out through Stellar's network, on one platform.
