Earlier this year we shipped Payouts, the ability to send stablecoins from a DFNS wallet to a bank account anywhere, through Borderless. Payins is the other direction: fiat in, stablecoins out, landing in the wallet you select without leaving the platform. Together they close the fiat boundary, the place where stablecoin operations have always had to step outside their own infrastructure.

## The boundary problem

Every stablecoin business touches fiat at two edges: when money comes in and when it goes out. For years, both edges lived somewhere else. A separate on-ramp provider with its own portal and credentials, usually one per corridor. A manual process to tell the ops team which wallet the incoming funds belonged to. Reconciliation by hand between a bank statement and a chain explorer. And governance that stopped at the platform's edge, because the on-ramp wasn't part of the platform.

Payouts fixed the outbound edge. Payins fixes the inbound one.

## Why Borderless first

Borderless is the orchestration network for global stablecoin payments. Rather than being one on-ramp, it connects stablecoin-enabled, locally licensed financial institutions into a single API and a standard schema: more than 19 providers across 113+ countries and 72+ currencies, with local rails included. One integration reaches USD, EUR, and GBP, the Latin American corridors in MXN, BRL, COP, ARS, CLP, and PEN, African currencies including NGN, KES, ZAR, GHS, EGP, UGX, and TZS, and Asian and Gulf currencies such as INR, PHP, IDR, CNY, and AED. New providers are added monthly with no re-integration.

Its commercial model matters as much as its coverage. Borderless charges one flat platform fee, with no FX markups and no per-transaction fees; provider rates pass through directly, and every provider relationship stays yours, your contracts, your terms. Funds settle directly with the licensed providers: Borderless orchestrates operations, data, and compliance, and never touches the money. It holds SOC 2 Type II. That is the right kind of partner for an operating layer that holds the same line about itself.

And the network is familiar territory. Its roster includes Cobre, Capa, Triple-A, Walapay, Stripe, MoonPay, and many others, most of which run their own stablecoin operations on DFNS.

## How Payins works

Payins is a native flow on DFNS, available through the API and the dashboard.

* **Connect once**. Configure your Borderless account in the Integrations Hub. The same connection that powers Payouts powers Payins.
* **Choose the destination**. Start a new payin, select your Borderless account, and pick the DFNS wallet the stablecoins should land in. The wallet is registered with Borderless, so there is never ambiguity about where funds are headed.
* **Get a quote**. Enter the amount, choose the payment method and country, and receive a quote through Borderless, with the licensed provider's rate passed through, from whichever provider in the network covers that corridor.
* **Confirm and sign**. Review the payin, confirm, and sign with a passkey. The payin is submitted, and the funding instructions appear: the bank account to send fiat to.
* **Fund it.** Send the fiat to that account. The stablecoins are deposited into the DFNS wallet, tracked like any other incoming transaction, with webhooks firing as they arrive.

## What it changes

Every step runs inside the platform your operation already lives on. A payin is a DFNS object with a status, an audit record, and a destination wallet governed by the same Policy Engine as everything else. Treasury sees the incoming stablecoins in the same view as every other balance. Reconciliation is fed by webhooks rather than reconstructed from a provider's export. And because the destination wallet is governed before anything moves, the controls a licensed business applies to its onchain operations extend to the moment fiat becomes onchain.

For a payment company, that means client funding, collection, and settlement run through one system, across every corridor Borderless covers, without a separate on-ramp relationship per country. For a treasury, moving from fiat to stablecoins and back becomes a unified workflow. For a platform embedding wallets for its own customers, it means offering an on-ramp in 113 countries without building one.

With Payins and Payouts, the end to end payments loop closes inside DFNS. You can collect in fiat, operate onchain, pay out in fiat, every leg through the same Policy Engine, in the same audit trail.

## Availability

Payins is available now for DFNS organizations with a Borderless account configured in the Integrations Hub, through the dashboard and the API, with coverage by corridor determined by Borderless's provider network. Additional providers will follow on the same flow.
