DFNS now supports HyperEVM, the EVM environment developed by Hyperliquid and built into the world's largest onchain order book.

DFNS now supports HyperEVM. Institutions on DFNS can hold, move and govern assets on HyperEVM with the same platform, API and controls they already use on every other network.

HyperEVM is the smart contract environment that runs inside the Hyperliquid blockchain. It sits right next to HyperCore, the fully onchain order book that made Hyperliquid the leading venue for decentralized perpetuals trading. The two share the same validators, the same consensus and the same token.

What is HyperEVM?

Hyperliquid started as a chain with one purpose. It ran an onchain order book with fast finality and no gas fees for trading, secured by its own consensus protocol, HyperBFT. In February 2025 it added HyperEVM, a full Ethereum Virtual Machine that anyone can build on.

HyperEVM is not a separate chain connected by a bridge. It is a second execution environment on the same blockchain. That is what makes it different from other EVM networks. A smart contract on HyperEVM can read live data from the order book, such as prices, positions and vault balances, without relying on an oracle. It can also send instructions back to the order book. A lending protocol can liquidate a position against live prices, and a structured product can settle against the order book’s own data.

The ecosystem has grown quickly. By early 2026, more than 170 projects were building on HyperEVM, and USDT0 had brought Tether’s USDT natively to HyperEVM and HyperCore. Hyperliquid’s fees were reported at close to a billion dollars a year by mid-2026, with most of that going to buy back HYPE.

A few characteristics stand out.

  • HYPE pays for gas. Every transaction on HyperEVM pays its fees in HYPE, the same token that secures the network.
  • One consensus for both sides. HyperEVM blocks are produced by the same validators that run the order book, with fast blocks every second.
  • Two kinds of blocks. Small, frequent blocks handle quick transactions, while larger blocks handle heavier ones, so speed and capacity do not compete.
  • Direct access to the order book. Contracts can read order book data and act on it natively, with no oracle or relayer in between.
  • Full EVM compatibility. Standard Solidity contracts, tools and token standards work as they do elsewhere.

Why DFNS and HyperEVM fit together

HyperEVM is where institutional trading and onchain finance now meet. Trading firms and market makers active on Hyperliquid need a governed place to hold HYPE and the assets that move between the order book and HyperEVM. Treasury teams holding USDT0 or lending on HyperEVM need approvals, limits and a clear audit trail for every movement. Platforms building on top of the order book need wallets for their own users, at scale.

That is the layer DFNS provides. Because HyperEVM is compatible with Ethereum, institutions get everything DFNS offers on EVM networks from the first day. That includes token standards, smart contract calls through Bring Your Own ABI, and the same controls they apply on every other chain. Every transfer and contract call goes through the Policy Engine before anything is signed, and every action is recorded in one audit trail. Keys are protected by MPC or HSM infrastructure and are never assembled in one place.

Full Tier-1 support on DFNS

DFNS provides full Tier-1 support for HyperEVM:

  • Wallet creation. Create wallets instantly through the API or the dashboard.
  • Native transfers. Send and receive HYPE.
  • Token transfers. Move USDT0 and any other ERC-20 token on HyperEVM.
  • Smart contract execution. Call any HyperEVM contract with Bring Your Own ABI, including contracts that work with the order book.
  • Transaction broadcast. Submit transactions to the network.
  • Secure signing. Sign through DFNS key infrastructure, with no single point of failure.
  • Balance retrieval. Check balances across all your wallets.
  • Webhook notifications. Receive real-time updates on transactions and balances.

Use cases

Trading operations. Hold and govern HYPE and HyperEVM assets alongside positions on the Hyperliquid order book, under institutional controls.

Treasury and yield. Put stablecoins to work in HyperEVM lending markets, with approvals and limits checked before anything is signed.

Products built on the order book. Build applications that work directly with HyperCore, while DFNS handles wallets, transactions and the audit trail.

Stablecoin flows. Move USDT0 and other stablecoins through HyperEVM as part of a wider treasury or payments operation across several chains.

HyperEVM joins more than 100 blockchain networks supported on DFNS, the core banking platform behind over 500 banks, fintechs, payment companies and institutions worldwide.
