Activities bring all of this into one unified view on the dashboard, acting as an event-driven service that doubles as an operations center and a cryptographically trustworthy audit log.
The types of data Activities captures
Activities consolidate the main event families your team relies on to operate safely. Together, these events create a precise, end-to-end view of how your organization is behaving: what changed, who changed it, which policy applied, and how the system responded. Examples:
- Policies:
triggersandapprovals
Coming: creation and archival
- Keys:
created,deleted,exported
Coming: delegated
- Wallets:
created,exported, andincoming blockchain events
Coming: tags modified and delegated
- Signatures:
signed,rejected, orfailed - Transfers:
requested,broadcasted,confirmed,rejected, orfailed(including Canton)
Why Activities matter for operational safety
Every meaningful action, i.e., policy triggers, signature flows, wallet updates, user changes, transfers, and transaction lifecycles, appears in a single timeline you can explore through fast filtering and sorting. You can narrow the view by event type (e.g., transfer, user, wallet, or network) to confirm expected behavior, investigate anomalies, or reconstruct what happened around a specific transaction or approval.
Because Dfns leverages WebAuthn and key-based authentication, attribution inside Activities is strongly anchored in cryptography. Each action is tied to a hardware-bound credential and the calling application’s origin, making impersonation extremely unlikely. When Activities show that a user performed an action, you can trust that attribution more than in conventional login systems, where passwords leak, sessions drift across devices, and shared credentials make it impossible to know who actually performed an action.
Activities are available today on the dashboard as a new tab dedicated to real-time oversight and auditability. It’s designed to help teams monitor their environment, react quickly, and operate with confidence.
